
Air Vice Marshal Manmohan Bahadur 14665 F(P) (Retd), had two tenures in the Siachen Pioneers, the first in 1978-1982 and the second one as its Commanding Officer 1993-1997. He was also the assistant chief of Integrated Defence Staff in-charge of tri-Service perspective planning and force structure. Earlier, he was assistant chief of air staff [transport & helicopters] at Air HQ. He is now a Distinguished Fellow at Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi.
