Air Force Laison Cell (CAC)

Air Force Liaison Cell was formed on 23 July 1963 at Lucknow for co-ordination with the Central Command of Indian Army. On 7 July 1971, this establishment was upgraded to Adv HQ, CAC and given control of 8 TAC. In May 1991, the establishment was again downgraded to an AFLC. The incumbent staff at Adv HQ, CAC moved to Pune to take over as Adv HQ, SWAC. Between Dec 2003 and April 2009, AFLC was vacant with the role being performed by AFS Memaura. On 22 Aug 2012, AFLC was again upgraded to Adv HQ, CAC and AFLC standalone stopped functioning
