Annual Exercise

Maritime forces from India, Japan and the United States sail in formation during Ex Malabar '09 on 02 May 2009. The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the US Navy are participating in the annual exercise which is led by the Indian Navy. The submarine leading the naval formation is the USS Seawolf (SSN 21) - one of the quietest submarines any country has ever put to sea.
