Patches

The Indian Air Force like many other airforces in the west had a system of Unit Patches, Stickers and Other insignia that would denote qualifications and unit affiliations. On these pages you will find Patches and Badges that illustrates the IAF's varied units, formations, types and qualifications.

Sqn Patches : Unofficial Stylised embroidered patches denoting the flying unit
Unit Crests : These are embroidered patches of the Official Unit Crests
Missile Units : Embroidered patches of Missile units
Type Patches : Type specific (MiG-21, Su-30)
Qualification Patches : (Like FCL, FSL, TACDE Graduate) including Hours Patches
Special Teams : Special Team patches - Aerobatic Teams, Flight Test Teams etc
Miscellaneous : Misc Unit patches
Exercises : Related to various Exercises that the IAF has participated in.
