This is a photograph of the Harvard crash of F/O Rikh and P/O Rodrigues at Jamnagar in 1951. They were on an instrument flying sortie w/ Rodrigues under the hood in the rear cockpit. After instrument flying, Rikh flew low over a lake. His propellers hit the water and the engine conked out. He just scraped over the water and made land but the aircraft stalled and hit the ground with a terrific impact. Both fuel tanks exploded and the pilots died instantly.
