Details :

During the operations against Pakistan in December, 1971, Flight Lieutenant Philip George was serving as Engineering Officer of a Squadron. Throughout the operations, the Unit maintained 100% serviceability. All the aircraft of the Unit operated from various airfields during day and night on operational reconnaissance missions. This achievement was largely due to untiring efforts of Flight Lieutenant Philip George. His qualities of leadership inspired his men to work cheerfully round the clock.

Throughout, Flight Lieutenant Philip George displayed leadership, professional skill and devotion to duty.
