Squadron Leader Nanduri Mohan Murali was responsible for installing and maintaining imported electronic equipment at the Institute of Aviation Medicine. Besides, he has started the specialty of Biomedical Engineering at the Institute and some of his achievements include a design study for a Ballistico cardiograph and Ergometer for exercise at high altitudes as well as electro encephalograms for naval divers.

For his outstanding achievements, superior professional skill and devotion to duty he is awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal.
