An interesting document from the Air Commodore’s Archives is this IAF Senior Officers list. From the first page it can be seen that the IAF of 1954 had only one Air Marshal, one Air Vice Marshal and two Air Commodores!. Air Cmde R H D Singh was the third in seniority after Subroto Mukherjee and Aspy Engineer.
