Paratrooper Training School Sky hawks

In October 1941, 50 India Para Brigade was formed with HQ at Delhi and Air Landing School (ALS) at Safdarjung Airport in Delhi. In 1942 ALS was renamed as 3 PTS and moved to Chakalaand understook the first course. A PJI batch started to be given post WWII. At independence, Sqn Ldr TS Gopalan was OC and he moved the Units to Agra. He also contineud to be the CI and CO till 1950. Initially, Dakota, Valencia , Halifax were used by the Units and the Dakota continued to be with the Units till 1966. In 1962 the C-119 Packet was also added to the Units strength
