C&R Flight Dett

C&R Flight was rasied with the role primary role of Practice Interception training to Fighter Controllers of the C&R School, later renamed as Air Defence College. The flight also got renamed to Air Defence Flight at that time. Initially it was equipt with Vampire 52 and co-located with the school at AFFC, Jodhpur. Sometime in mid 1970s it moved to BKT and in 1975 it was reequipped with the Marut and located at Kanpur. It moved to BKT in 1980. Thereafter in 1983 it was requipped with the the MiG-21 T-77. Tt moved to Bareilly in 1992, changed to T-96 in 1996 and merged with the 102 Sqn in 1998. Flight moved back to BKT on 15 June 1999. It was numberplated on 30 June 2006. The Unit has been resurrected on the Kiran MK-II at Gorakhpur in Sep 2015
