 Institution of Aviation Medicine Date Raised : 1957-05-29 Location : AirHQ IAM was formed as "School of Aviation Medicine"(SAM) at Bangalore by merging No. 1 Aeromedical Unit (AMU) from Palam and the Aeromedical Research Centre (ARC) established at the premises of HAL.
