Date Raised : 1964-11-01 Location : Chandigarh
Raised as a SA-2 SAGW Unit. Became the first SA-2 unit to be operational in IAF in Feb 1965 with establishment of 15 officers. It was deployed in Delhi area during the 1965 ops and at Adampur during the 1971 Ops. It was assigned 8 live targets during the war. It engaged one aircraft and fired two missiles but could not claim any kills.
