13 Pilot Course - Candidates report to local flying clubs around 15 Dec 1941. Subsequently, 84 selected candidates were sent to ITC Walton in Lahore for ground and service training for 10 weeks, followed by a two week break. This included 79 Indian cadets (including a Lieutenant from the Indian Army, and a Merchant Navy cadet from IMM TS Dufferin), four re-musters from the RAF (one Equipment branch Wing Commander, and three Sergeants), and a veterinary surgeon from Bombay.Thereafter they headed to 1 EFTS (Secunderabad) or 2 EFTS (Jodhpur) for 10 weeks on Tigermoths for Basic flying. They were commissioned on reporting to 1 SFTS (Ambala on Audax and Hart) for advanced flying on 29 June 1942. They were awarded wings on completion of the advanced traning on 14 Dec 1942. Service Numbers for course were alloted in albhabeitcal order and not in seniority.
