23 Pilot Course - Reported to ITW Poona on 4 Sep 1943 and completed initial ground training on 6 Jan 1944. They were split and subsequently sent 1 EFTS (Secunderabad on Tigermoth) and 2 EFTS (Jodhpur ) from 10 Jan 44 to 14 April 44 for basic flying. They were commissioned on reporting to SFTS (Ambala on Harvard) for advanced flying on 24 April 1944 and attended SFTS from 24 April 1944 to 25 August 1944. Subsequently, the Course attended Fighter Course at 151 OTU (Risalpur on Hurricane) from 1 Sep 1944 to 1 Dec 1944 and SLAIS Ranchi from 18 Dec 1944 to 7 Jan 1945 before being posted to operational squadrons.
