| Details : | A severe cyclone hit Jamnagar from the evening of till the early hours of 23 Oct 75 during which the wind went upto 180 km/hr. Squadron Leader Ramakrishna was officiating as Chief Operation Officer, right from the tine of receiving the initial warning personally supervised picketing of aircraft and himself got down the task along with various parties. During the hours of heavy gale, rain and darkness the officer went round from aircraft to aircraft and continued his supervision by walking in knee deep water in total darkness. The Officer's supervision of and guidance to gale parties was instrumental in saving a number of aircraft. | |||
