| Received "Dhyanchand Lifetime Achievement Award" 2017 from President of India for dedicating his life to Football. Sqn Ldr SS Hakeem (24 GDOC) was commissioned on 10 Nov 1962 and retired from IAF on 30 Nov 1983. He continues to remain devoted to Game of Football. Some of his significant achievements:• Represented India at 1959 Pre-Olympics at Jakarta, Singapore and Malaysia.• Represented India in exhibition matches in 1959.• Represented India at the 1960 Rome Olympics.• Played for India, Andhra and Services teams against visiting foreign teams.• Captained North India XI against visiting foreign teams from 1960 to 1969.• FIFA Referee in many International Events from 1974 to 1989 |
