Details :

Squadron Leader Perungavur Balasubramaniam Harikishnan Technical/Engineering (6226) was commissioned in the Indian Air Force in July 1961. He has held many important Engineering posts both in operational units and in the staff at Command Headquarters.

In his recent assignment as the Officer incharge Aircraft Repair Section at a Base Repair Dept, Squadron Leader Harikishnan has displayed inspiring leadership, drive and extreme devotion to duty. In a year's time, his section completed 57 major inspections and two Cat 'B' repairs on seven different types of aircraft. In effecting this high rate of production, he had to overcome a large number of seemingly insurmountable problems.

Squadron Leader Harikishnan has also been responsible for the setting up of a servicing line for a new type of aircraft. Besides, using a great deal of initiative and technical ingenuity, he has completed major servicing of a large number of these aircraft despite non-availability of certain ground equipment and shortage of spares.
