Details : | Squadron Leader Anand Narain Mehtani has been commanding a Helicopter Unit for nearly two years. His Unit has met all its operational commitments. Due to the untiring efforts of Squadron Leader Mehtani, the Unit was soon able to undertake operational missions allotted to it, using the new types of aircraft with which the Unit was reequipped. He has flown nearly 3,000 hours including over 1850 hours on helicopters operating over difficult terrain in the Northern and Eastern Sectors. During his tenure as Officer Commanding, he has shown exceptional devotion to duty and has displayed courage in carrying out casualty evacuation from remote and difficult helipads. He has set a fine example in flying and airmanship to other pilots. | |||
