Details :

Squadron Leader Norbert Joseph Misquitta has been in Training Unit as a Flying Instructor since February 1966. During this period, he has flown a total of 1,300 hours including 950 instructional hours. On 12th August 1968, when his engine flamed out on the final approach, he took speedy relight action and landed the aircraft safely. Again, in February 1969, he went into an inverted spin while demonstrating a flick on top of a loop. He ordered the copilot to eject but himself continued with the emergency recovery actions, and finally managed to recover the aircraft from the spin, and land it safely.
