| Keshab lal mitra enrolled as a hawai sepoy in 1933 after completion of his apprenticeship from jamalpur and served in quetta fort sandhamen and various other stations before retiring from air force - ahq , new delhi.Due to the personal involvement of all hiss uncles in the indian independence movement he refused commisssion opportunity thrice. Finally getting his commission in 1947 at the time of indian independencehe was instrumental in setting up of the cttb and no. 4 brd in kanpur in the fifties . Was injured in 1962 in nefa and later served in hal , kanpur as chief training supdt. He is survived by 2 sons and countless memories of his days in riaf/ iaf which he has passed on to them. He died in 1993. |
