Details : | Group Captain Joginder Singh (22133-R) F(P) was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Flying Branch of Indian Air Force on 19 Dec 92. He is performing duties of Director (International) in Defence Intelligence Agency since March 2014. His charter includes continuous monitoring of situation in Russia and Europe through own Defence Wings, carryout analyses, trending security scenario and bringing out global perspective on issues affecting security of India and recommend areas of interaction with respect to those countries. He has been relentlessly following unfolding events of target countries with a deep insight on strategic issues, formulating framework for options available to India and bringing out recommendations for engagement, has been some of the key areas of research by the officer. He has contributed immensely representing Defence Intelligence Agency at various scholarly platforms at ORF, VIF, IDSA, USI and other think tanks, assisted in policy formulation. He has actively participated at Global Technology Summit, Bangalore and at Kasauli on 'Sharing of India's Security Perspectives'. He has been singularly responsible for conduct of brain storming session at DIA on engagement with Russia and suggested number of ideas which have been endorsed by the NSA. Group Captain Joginder Singh is sharp and has an analytical mind resulting in bringing out a number of special reports meant for higher circulation which has found resonance at the highest level. He has been the architect for the foundational agreement with USA which has since been operationalised in the form of Logistic Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA).
