Naresh Kumar Srivastava, born on 25 September 1917, was the son of Dr. Gaya Prasad (medical practitioner) in Clutterbuck Ganj, Bareilly, UP, India. Naresh Kumar Srivastava had one elder sister, four younger sisters and one younger brother. I am the son of his third sister.

He completed his B.Sc from Allahabad University in 1938 and, as per the available information, he had completed his M.Sc from Allahabad University in 1940.

Subsequently, he joined Indian Air Force in the 12th Course for Pilot Officers. (Date of joining not known). Date of commission 05 April 1942.

He died in an air crash on 05 January 1944 in the UK.
