Details : | Air Commodore Pawan Kumar Mohey (18099) was commissioned in the Indian Air Force as pilot in the Flying Branch on 06 Dec 1985. Air Commodore PK Mohey is an extremely competent professional with vast and varied flying experience in the most difficult operational conditions. He has over 5900 hours of accident! incident free flying. He has held many important assignments such as Station Commander of an high altitude operational base over seeing China and Pakistan, Flight Commander of Mi-17 unit wherein he took active part in the Kargil War and streamlined all helicopter flying operations in the sector after the war, Command of Chetak helicopter unit and recommenced Float operations after a gap of twelve years. As Officer-in-charge career planning wing at Air Force Record Office, he was instrumental in streamlining the promotion and AR policies of airmen. He has had a stint at HQ IDS and UN mission in Sudan. A Qualified Flying Instructor who has undergone the Defence Services Staff Course and Higher Defence Management course, he has been commended by AOC-in-C, EAC and CISC, HQ IDS for exemplary professional competence. Air Commodore PK Mohey is a highly motivated professional, who leaves no stone unturned to accomplish the tasks at this remote forward base under the most demanding and challenging physical, operational and security environment. His unwavering commitment is reflected by the state of Op preparedness of the base. His significant achievements as Commander ANTF include safe, successful and efficient conduct of Lok Sabha elections 2014 and state assembly elections in the Red Belt region of India covering seven states. He has ensured safe execution of all tasks allotted to the Indian Air Force in the most professional and exemplary manner. The same has been appreciated by all the state and central agencies. He has been instrumental in erecting and operationalising the Non Directional Beacon at the remote airfield of Jagdalpur. The Officer has worked tirelessly to improve the standard of living of all personnel placed under him. The perseverance shown by the officer in achieving the tasks has been note worthy.
