Details : Group Captain Joseph Paul (15370) Accounts was commissioned on 08 Jun 1978 and is presently serving as Director at Air Force Pay Commission Cell. The Officer has very rich and varied experience in all the facets of accounting matters of Indian Air Force, gained over 30 years of his illustrious career. The officer has left his indelible mark of excellence in the various establishments and formations he had served so far. During the year 2006, while being the Secretary, Air Force Group Insurance Society, he had contributed immensely in recovering the long outstanding Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of the society to the tune of crores of rupees. With his initiative and thrust, he had brought in high level of efficiency and efficacy in the system to achieve the organizational objective of the welfare of its personnel. He was instrumental in introducing the new investment cum insurance schemes for the benefits of serving and retired AF personnel. The highest insurance cover among the three services provided by Air Force Group Insurance Society to its subscribers is attributed to his financial analytical ability and wise application of the funds. While working as Director in Air Force Pay Commission Cell, his sound professional knowledge, intelligent application of rules / regulations and indefatigable drive has contributed a great deal in sourcing and compiling the joint memorandum of Armed Forces recommendations to the 6th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The officer has been very keenly involved in pursuing various pay commission related issues with MoD/TRIPAS and eh CPC which were ultimately aimed to give the maximum rational benefits to the service personnel. The officer is highly motivated and dedicated who continues to give his best for the service without caring for his personal comforts. Due to his broad vision, sound professional knowledge, positive approach and enthusiasm, the officer has proved to be an asset for the organization. For his distinguished service of high order, Hon'ble President is pleased to award 'Vishisht Seva Medal' to Group Captain Joseph Paul.
