| Details : | Flight Lieutenant Bagia Laxmi Kantli Reddy was commissioned in the Flying (Pilot) Branch of the Indian Air Foice in December, 1967. He has flown a total of 2251 accident free hours on helicopters over a myriad of terrain. On 22nd October, 1974, he was detailed to undrtake special heliborne operations, in tlie Eastern Sector. He undertook this challenging task and within a period of seven days completed the same by flying to far-flung helipads. Regardless of his personal safety, he flew 122 hazardous sorties with undeterred zeal. Throughout, Flight Lieutenant Bagia Laxmi Kanth Reddy displayed courage, professional skill and devotion to duty of a high order. | |||
