The P-20 (SS-N-2C) and P-20M (SS-N-2D) are export versions of the P-15 (SS-N-2A) and P-15M (SS-N-2B). The P-20/20M are a third-generation AShM variant. The P-20 AShM has a range of 85 km with a 513 kg payload and the P-20M AShM has a range of 100 km with a similar payload to the P-20. Differences from earlier versions used on the Osa-II Class missile boats are as follows;

New fuels.
Solid state circuitry.
New Koral fire control system.
A new propulsion system to reach low supersonic speeds.
An IR seeker in addition to the radar for intense ECM environments.
Cruise altitude is 300 - 500 metres, with sea skimming altitude of 2 - 5 metres depending upon the sea state.
The fuel tank has been shifted to the front of the missile before the warhead to enhance the destructive power from unspent fuel.
