Media Personnel

Commodore Parasurama Naidu Murugesan speaks with media personnel aboard the former USS Trenton (LPD 14) on 17 January 2007 at Norfolk, Virginia. Commodore Murugesan is the Indian Naval Attaché at the Indian Embassy in Washington D.C. He served as the Captain of INS Ranjit, a Kashin II Class guided-missile destroyer, from December 2002 to January 2004. The ship, during his command, was awarded the Chief of Naval Staff unit citation for exceptional performance and was also selected as the best ship of the Eastern Fleet for the year 2003-04. He has a M Phil degree in Strategic Studies and a MSc degree in Defence Studies, both obtained from Madras University.
