INS Viraat breaks formation on 05 September 2007, during Exercise Malabar 07-02, a military operation involving the Kitty Hawk and Nimitz Carrier Strike Groups of the US Navy and as well as ships of the navies of Australia, India, Japan and the Republic of Singapore.
