The Veer Class corvettes were acquired in the late 1980s as a replacement for the Osa-II Class missile boats. Seen here (side & top view) is INS Nirbhik K41 - the second in the Veer Class series, pictured along with it's main armament (top right) --> the P-20M (NATO: SS-N-2D) AShM. The vessel at bottom is INS Pralaya K91, a modified Veer Class corvette commissioned in December 2002. INS Pralaya and her sister ship, INS Prabal K92, are quite different in terms of equipment, armament and appearance from their earlier sister ships.
