[ The Navy Today ]

The Indian Navy's HQ (INS India) is located at New Delhi and is commanded by the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), currently Admiral Sureesh Mehta. Featuring three naval commands; Western, Eastern and Southern, each is headed by a Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C) who has the rank of Vice Admiral. The Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC), a unified tri-command of the Army, Navy and Air Force is presently headed by a Lieutenant General from the Army.
