BRISTOL CLASS


Vessel Type: Interceptor Craft (IC).

Displacement: 5.5 tons.

Main Machinery: Two 250 hp engines.

Maximum Speed: Not Known.

Range: 75 nautical miles.

Comments: Four Bristol Class vessels serve with the Coast Guard. The Hindu reported in an article dated 19 June 2007, that two of these vessels are used at the Beypore Coast Guard Station in Kerala for search & rescue of fishermen in distress and also for maritime surveillance & security.
