Space Essay Competition
The Bharat-Rakshak
team was proud to sponsor the
BR Space Essay Contest. We received a very
enthusiastic response from patrons of the site.
After receiving the entries from the participants,
the editorial team at the
BR
Monitor and the team managing the
BR
Space site created the following judging
guidelines.
Judging Guidelines
As the entries were
from people with varying professional background
and age groups the judges were asked to disregard
the lack of technical details in the article.
Each judge was asked
to return a score of 0-10 based on the following
breakup of points.

1.5
Points: Overview of ISRO history, understanding of
limits of current technological position of ISRO.

2.5
Points: Conceptual Clarity and Completeness of any
ideas presented there
-
3.5
Points: Completeness of vision for the future.
-
1.0
Points: Referencing of ideas and transparency of
presentation.

1.5
Points: Presentation, flow of ideas, ease of
readability.

Competition
An average of the
scores submitted by the judges yielded the
following ranking.

Accolades
After discussions
within the BR team it was decided to revise the
accolade scheme suggested earlier. The new
accolade scheme is as follows

Honorable Mention $25
The contest
organizers would also like to mention that Kimaya
Gokhale and Dr. R. L. N Sarma have indicated that
they do not wish to collect a prize and that their
entry be declared a non competitive entry.
