The Jawan (soldier) of the Indian Army and his officers form a cohesive collective. They live to serve their Unit and they are willing to die for it. Nothing must happen which will tarnish it's Honour or it's Izzat (Respect). Unflinching loyalty is to a concept and not to a transient personality or cause. Always and Everywhere, the Unit comes first. Everything follows from it - the Regiment, the Flag, and the Country. This was the greatest battle-winning factor bequeathed by history to the Indian Army. The jawans are there, ready and willing to serve a flag - with honour, glory and mutual respect.
