The War Memorial

Right upon entering the Museum, one cannot   miss the inscription on the Plaque adorning the path to the IAF War memorial. It reads

"THEIR SELVES THEY GAVE IN THE MOST NOBLE CAUSE BUT ETCHED DEEP IN OUR HEARTS THIER NAMES LIVE ON FOREVER"

The first Gnat recieved by the IAF , S.No. IE 1059 adorns the background mounted on a pylon aiming for the sky, while at a distance, the IAF War memorial stands as a silent tribute to those who did not come back.

More tributes can be found inside, like the statue of N J S Sekhon or the shrapnel riddled tail section of a Sukhoi-7 fighter bomber which was bought back by Wg Cdr H S Mangat.
