Lt. Shrikrishna .Chanda. Welingkar is the last of five Indian aviators from World War one that we have any information on. Not much information is available regarding his career. He was with No. 23  Squadron.  He sustained wounds in action on 27th June  1918, and died  three days later on 30th June, 1918.  At the time of death he was just about 23 years old. During his service, he was awarded the Military Cross . His death in action is commemorated at the Hangard Communal Cemetary Extension, at Somme, France. Welingkar hailed from Bombay.

We have absolutely no information on the remaining two Indian aviators: Lt. Naroji and Lt. E.S.C. Sen.
