Talking to newspersons after the show, he said the relationship between both forces was very old.
“I have had personal experience myself, having flown on the Mystere and Toofani aircraft, acquired from the French,” Air Marshal Tyagi said, that adding interaction between both forces would definitely continue. French Ambassador Domnique Girard, who was also present on the occasion, called the event ‘’fantastic.’’
A display by the IAF’s skydiving team — the Air Devils — and microlite aircraft preceded the show, attended by senior IAF officials, including Vice-Chief Air Marshal S.K. Malik and the force’s first woman three-star officer Air Marshal Padma Banddopadhyay and French diplomats, defence attaches from several countries, including Russia and Israel were also present.
