Static Display
The Indian Air Force and HAL as well as several foreign exhibitors displayed several of their aircraft on the tarmac in the Static Display area. For the IAF it was an opportunity to show its aircraft with the latest weaponry. For the first time the general public got a look at the R-77 equipped MiG-21 Bison. Or a Mirage 2000 and Jaguar equipped with LGB Munitions. The LCA TD-1 was also displayed for the first time. The foreign aircraft that were displayed included the Czech L-139 AJT, the British Hawk trainer, the Russian MiG-29 MRCA and An-70 MTA.
