The Mark II Prototype

U-786 is the first Mk.2 prototype. The aircraft has an integral 7.62mm machine gun pair in the nose and carried a de-rated Orpheus engine and two hard points. Production versions of the Mk.II have four hard points instead of the two seen here. U-786 is preserved in the HAL Museum in Bangalore and can be seen even today.
