Reach for the Sky - MiG-29s go vertically up

A pair of MiG-29Bs, from 28 Squadron, go vertical. Both aircraft are armed with training acquisition rounds of the R-73RDM2 and a centreline drop tank. The 'First Supersonics' is the only squadron presently based at Lohegaon AFS, as the 'Black Archers' moved to Adampur AFS, in April 1997, to make way for the advent of the Su-30 Flanker at Lohegaon. The 'Black Archers' share Adampur AFS with their sister squadron, the 'Tridents'.
