Several types of camouflage were applied to MiG-21FL fighters during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Aircraft sporting olive green and dark earth finishes such as the one in this image were deployed at a number of airfields in the southern sector for air defence and escort duties. This particular aircraft (C746) is seen with a centreline 108 Imp gal (490 L) drop tank and a pair of under wing launching shoes for the K-13A (AA-2 Atoll) infra-red homing air-to-air missiles.
