Flt Lt Sandeep Jain was flying a supply mission to Hoshiarpur post in the Siachen Glacier area, when his Mi-17 Helicopter was shot down by hostile fire.

Plt Offr Bhagwat was the co-pilot to Flt lt Jain. The Mi-17 helicopter on the supply mission was lost to hostile fire over the Siachen Glacier.

Sgt Murigappa was the flight gunner on board the Mi-17 shot down by hostile fire at the Hoshiarpur post in the Siachen Glacier area.

Sgt Krishna Jha was the flight engineer on the Mi-17 Helicopter downed by hostile fire on the Siachen Glacier during a supply mission.

Flt Lt Rajiv Juyal's Cheetah helicopter was lost to enemy ground fire in the Siachen Glacier area during a forward supply mission.

Flt Lt Aggarwal was the second pilot in the Cheetah helicopter that was lost to enemy ground fire in the Siachen Glacier area during a forward supply mission.

Sqn Ldr Ajay Ahuja's MiG-21M (C-1539) was shot down by a shoulder fired missile while he was looking for another downed IAF pilot in the Kargil area. He was killed subsequently in a gunfight on the ground.

Flt Lt Muhilan was the pilot of a Mi-17 that was shot down by Shoulder fired missile at Tololing range in the Kargil area during a raid on Infilitrators positions. The crew of four in the helicopter were lost.

Sqn Ldr Pundir was killed in action while flying as a co-pilot of a Mi-17that was shot down at Tololing.  They were flying as No.4 in a formation of four choppers attacking enemy positions.

Flt Sgt Prasad was the Flight Gunner on board the Mi-17 helicopter flown by Flt Lt Muhilan. He was killed when the helicopter was downed by shoulder fired SAMs.

Sgt Sahu was the Flight Engineer on board the Mi-17 helicopter flown by Flt Lt Muhilan which was shot down over Tololing by SAM missiles.
