Indian Air Force Losses - 1962 War.
The 1962 Operations against China saw the involvement of the transport and Helicopter Units of the Indian Air Force. Numerous sorties were flown by the transport aircraft, and Helicopters. The latter getting involved in reconnaissance and also casuality evacuation missions. There was no air opposition except for the threat from the ground. Chinese ground fire was heavy and concentrated, resulting in some losses.
