A newly decorated Sqn Ldr Arjan Singh
with Sqn Ldr M K Janjua . The coveted DFC Ribbon is prominent under Arjan Singh's wings.
Janjua went to the PAF on partition. He was later convicted of a role in the 'Rawalpindi
Conspiracy' and was made to quit.
From the Squadron Commanders Meet, the
Sikh COs get together. L to R Sqn Ldr Arjan Singh, Sqn Ldr Mehar Singh and Sqn Ldr
Prithpal Singh. Prithpal Singh died later in the year in a Hurricane crash. Mehar Singh
died in a civilian aircraft crash after retiring from the IAF.
The IAF had a Display Flight that toured the country to
generate awareness on the IAF and also to promote recruitment. For a short period till his
death, Jumbo Majumdar commanded the flight. Wg Cdr Jumbo Majumdar (Std 3rd from left) with
members of the IAF Exhibition Flight in thier distinctive light colored flying overalls
sporting the RIAF Crests. The Exhibition flight flew Hurricanes as seen here. [Via Amit

Wg Cdr Arjan Singh, took over as CO of
the IAF EF afterwards. He is seen here along with Field Marshal Sir Claude Auchinleck and
