Three types of Wings that OD Agnihotri wore in the course of
his Indian Air Force career. On top were the standard 'IAF' wings under the King's crown
that all pilots wore till the begining of 1945.
Center is the 'RIAF' wings under the Kings crown that was the standard in the years
1945-1950.
On India becoming a republic, the current style 'IAF' pilot wings were adopted with the
Ashoka Emblem (Lions from the Saranath pillar) replacing the Kings Crown |
