Wg Cdr Vernon Shib Chunder Bonarjee

A rare World War Two Medal group with the Oak Leaf M-i-D device attached to the 1939-49 star. Wg Cdr Bonarjee from the 4th Pilots Course was one of the first IAF officers to see combat against the Japanese, even preceding the officers of No.1 Squadron, IAF. He would later be mentioned in despatches for his second tour of operations with No.7 Squadron.
