8 Squadron pilots with one of their first Spitfire VIIIs. The mermaid nose art was quite unusual for indian aircraft of that time. Seen in the photo are S N Haider (2nd from right) and Zahid (2nd from Left). Possibly C D Subia standing on the wing root
