No.2 Squadron - Vampires

Rointon Merwan Engineer commanded No.2 Squadron - "Winged Arrows" from 1st Jun 52 to 1st Aug 55. He was only the second CO of the Squadron after its re-raising in 1951. The Squadron was operating Spitfire VIIIs but soon converted to Vampire FB52s under his watch.

This photo album consists mostly of the aircraft operated by No.2 Squadron, the De Havilland Vampire FB52 and the Trainer variant along with the personnel of the Squadron.
