The 65th Pilots Course was commissioned on 16th April 1955 at the Air Force Flying
College in Jodhpur. The list of officers commissioned in this batch had service numbers
from 4874
GD(P) to 4923 GD(P) (Click link to view names). The pilots from 65th PC were in the
thick of action in both the wars. Madhabendra Banerji (MVC), Farokh J Mehta (VrC), Ajit
Lamba (VrC), Jiwa Singh (VrC) are some of the distinguished award winners from the wars.
In 2005, the surviving members of the course gathered at Air Force Academy Dundigal to
celebrate their fiftieth anniversary of their passing out parade. A special souvenir was
published on that occasion.
