901 Signal Unit Nothern Radar


Location : Natha Top
This SU traces its roots to the Route Surveillance Radar installed at Natha Top in J&K in March 1970. Originally operating the ATCR 2D, it was replaced by the ATCR-22 in 1981, followed by a Master T Radar in 24. In 1995 the place was renamed as Nathatop, after the name of Wg Cdr Natha Singh who led the survey aprty in 1966 to help setup the base
