49 Wing Date Raised : 2009-08-06 Location : Naliya Land for an airfield was taken over by IAF on 22 Oct 1973. Intially a C&MU was setup under the command of AFS Jamnagar. The C&MU was upgraded to 12 FBSU on 29 July 1974 and the first stn cdr was Wg Cdr HS ghuman. It was further upgraded to a wing on 6 Aug 2009
